The most derivative, phony, and shitty band in mainstream music for well over the past thirty years. If I never hear "Love in an Elevator" again it will be too soon.
"Sweet Emotion", particularly as it is used in the opening of Dazed and Confused, is admittedly the best thing about them. Still, that's one better than average 70s rock song. One B+ song.
I'm not an fan, but if "Sweet Emotion" is a B+, then what the fuck is "Dream On" and "Walk This Way" (with or without Run-DMC)?? I'd also venture to say that "Jamie's Got a Gun" and "Dude Looks Like a Lady" are pretty serviceable post-classic classic rock.
